The Outdoor Club’s Ecominds Project takes adults who have experience of mental distress into the outdoors for one day a week, for terms of eleven weeks.
Ecominds has fully funded three terms of this project. To you, right now, its free!
Through being outdoors the Outdoor Club’s Ecominds Project works to support people to truly reconnect with themselves, with others and with the natural world.
Nature is a great healer. The basic idea of this project stemmed from simply being in nature. Bushcraft skills are something for the thinking mind and physical body to engage in whilst being in nature.

By learning bushcraft, and observing how we approach the challenges it presents us, we can gain deep personal insight into how we meet challenges in our everyday lives.
Pete Adams, Group Leader. Pete has a certificate in counselling and an honours degree in psychology. He has a working background as a community mental health support worker in the North Cornwall district.
Tracey Williams, Group Leader. Tracey has worked as a physiotherapy assistant providing physical and emotional support for brain and spinal injury patients.
But, this is just who we are on paper. We are real people, come along and meet us.
